Thonik: Made in China, Made by YouUntil September 27th
Sixteen hand-woven woollen tapestries together form an installation and show, in an original manner, graphic designs in the context of a museum. Paper and computer screens are replaced by wool. The tapestries are inspired by existing designs by the design agency Thonik and were made in China.
Thonik
Thonik was founded in 1993 by Thomas Widdershoven and Nikki Gonnissen. The design agency for visual communication currently employs fifteen people. Thonik distinguishes itself through a clear visual language and a focus on content.
Virals
Thonik became known in wider circles thanks to the house-style and election campaigns for the SP. In the Viral Movie Museum, Thonik shows how graphic design can play a supporting role in the political debate and can contribute to the functioning of democracy. During the exhibition, the visitor is addressed personally in the Viral Move Museum.
