Polly on her travels is a story in rhyme about Polly, who goes to Paris by plane with her aunt. All steps in the journey are illustrated with Schiphol pictograms. A good preparation for that very first trip in a plane.

The story of this book begins in 1967, when interior architect Kho Liang Ie and graphic designer Benno Wissing laid the foundations for an information system that, even today, has not lost any of its power. The booklet spotlights various aspects of the WaySigning, such as the symbols, bilingualism and the colour coding, and is richly illustrated with photographs and drawings.
